Modern astrologers have assigned Herschel as the ruling planet of Aquarius and Neptune as the ruling planet of Pisces.
Given below are some characteristics of numbers 1 to 9. Sometimes you will find that the characteristics described for a particular person, do not match the personality of the person born on the corresponding date. The question naturally arises- why so? We may explain this by taking the readers a little into the realm of astrology.
It has already been explained how the Sun travels through a sign for one month and through the twelve signs in a year. The Sun bestows different characteristics on persons born in various signs. The date of birth may have the same number, i.e. 1st January, 1st February or 1st March, yet, due to the Sun being in different signs on 1st January, 1st February and 1st March, the characteristics of people born on 1st January, 1st February or 1st March and so on, will differ.
The different locations of the Sun bestow different characteristics. There are also variations in constitution, temperament and worldly achievements due to the different locations of the Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, etc. If, for example, Mars was strong at the time of birth2, despite being born on a date having the basic number 1, the individual may respond to the characteristics of Mars or, in other words, number 9. Normally, a person born on the 2nd, 11th, 20th, or 29th should possess, in prominence, the lunar characteristics of the Moon. But if the planet Mercury was strong at the time of birth, the native may have more traits of Mercury and so on. The various modulations due to the location of planets in the various parts of the heavens, can be ascertained only by reference to a complete birth chart.
The aim of this book is to help prognosticate events by reference to the birth date alone. We will confine ourselves to only those rules which help us arrive at certain results by taking, as our basis, the date of birth. Numerology opens but one window to provide a glimpse. There are other windows such as those of astrology, which may provide a larger or more detailed view. In this book, we will limit ourselves to only one source. |
